On behalf of Pageants NW, we’re proud to announce the new 2014 Miss Washington USA winner, Allyson Rowe (Miss Spokane Valley USA) who is 25 and is a resident of Spokane. Allyson is a skincare specialist, loves teaching and playing the piano, and writing music. Her heart is to inspire young woman and children to see how incredibly valuable they are in this world. She aspires to providing a place where young woman and children rescued from sex trafficking can pursue their own dreams and goals. She believes that all things are possible; and with patience and dedication, you will see your dreams come true. The new 2014 Miss Washington Teen USA winner is 18-year-old Starla Sampaco (Miss Seattle Teen USA) who is a freshman at the University of Washington, where she is working towards a degree in Journalism. She aspires to become a broadcast journalist to spotlight issues that are relevant and worthy of public attention. Starla is currently the senior host of a Seattle youth media show called “What’s Good, 206?” which features inspirational people who make a positive impact on our community. Her motto is “Never settle for putting in an average effort. Ever.” Starla will represent our state at the 2014 MISS TEEN USA® pageant next summer and Allyson will compete for the 2014 MISS USA® title next spring live on NBCUniversal. Sponsors contributed over $900,000 in scholarships, prizes, cash and awards this year!
Rounding out the Top Five in the Miss Washington USA®; 1st runner-up Maeloni Ogle (Kennewick), 2nd runner-up Emma Baker (Whitman County), 3rd runner-up Tarah Land (Greater Evergreen), & 4th runner-up Evelyn Clark (Wahkiakum County), CONGENIALITY – Sabrina Salazar (Puyallup), PHOTOGENIC – Brianna Werre (Renton), SPIRIT – Ashley Jackson (University Place). The combined event which took place October 18th – 19th included a wonderful panel of judges involved in Business, Entertainment and the Beauty industry. The MISS UNIVERSE® Organization (jointly owned by Donald Trump and NBCUniversal) is proud to be in the 62nd year of operation providing young women with financial assistance for college as well as opening the doors to many career opportunities.
